Review: MARK HILL – MiracOILicious Range

Shampoos and Conditioner’s are pretty much found everywhere! Not only that, it is also found in many different shapes and sizes and with a variety of different ingredients to match the wide range of hair textures out there.  So, a review of a shampoo product is basically like doing a preliminary check up of that cute guy you saw in class and wondering if he is worth it 😛 Today, I thought I would review my long time favourite.

The MiracOILicious range by Mark Hill: Nourishing Shampoo, Nourishing Conditioner and the 2 minute Intensive Treatment mask

All with Moroccan Argan Oil and 13 different essential oils.

PROS:

  • Truly Sulphate and Paraben free as stated which is great!
  • The shampoo contains PEG -18 and PEG- 40 which are nothing but solvents, emulsifiers and humectants. All safe!
  • Has 14 essential oils which is brilliant for people who have dry hair like me.
  • The scent is AMAZING! I feel like I am transported to Morocco every time I smell the scent. Heaps Refreshing!
  • If you let your hair naturally air dry, like I do for most of the part, the conditioners work great to give the natural soft texture to my curly/wavy hair.
  • I often oil my hair beforehand and it manages to remove most of the oil for a shampoo that doesn’t have sulphates.
  • Love the packaging that they have.

CONS:

  • The price is a bit expensive than your average shampoo but I feel that it is still affordable for the quality results that you get when you use it.
  • All products work great when used together. If the conditioners are used by themselves then it tends to weigh your hair down a lot more.
  • When I blow dry my hair, it gets a tad bit flat and the style doesn’t hold. It’s as though a small amount of Vaseline covers each hair strand. More true for the 2-minute Intensive Treatment Mask than the actual conditioner.

FINAL VIEWS:

I have used this product non-stop for about a year and feel that it is great overall except when styling my hair, which is the reason I ventured out to try some other products instead. I definitely think this is a great frequent use shampoo and would definitely go to buy it again.

With my research, I wasn’t sure if the products are completely free of all the nasties and I would love for someone to comment below if they know more on the ingredients.

‘Cause your hair is worth it,
